Wife of Dr. James Diefendorf. Daughter of Robert and Nancy Hall. Born in New York, but living in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1860. Frances "Fanny" Seward references visiting with the family of Dr. Diefendorf during her father's (William H. Seward) campaign tour in her 1860 diary.
