Biography

George Eden was an English Whig. He served the British Empire as the Governor-General of India from 1836-1842, for which he was remembered by Olive Risley-Seward to Frederick William Seward in her letter of June 1873. He was the uncle of William Godolphin Osborn, mentioned in the same letter.
