Biography

Sarah Tempe Seward was one of two daughters born to John Leddell Seward and Eliza Amelia Seward. In a letter exchanged between George Washington Seward and William Henry Seward on November 17, 1871, George mentions his son, John, and his granddaughter, Sarah. "Dr John is so busy that he cannot find time to bring his Daughter to see her Grand Pa."
