Biography

Robert John Eden, 3rd Baron Auckland, or "Lord Auckland," was a British clergyman who studied at University of Cambridge. When his brother George Eden Lord Auckland (1st Earl of Auckland and 2nd Baron of Auckland) died, he took over their father's barony, the Barony of Auckland. He was referenced by Olive Risley-Seward to Frederick William Seward in her letter of June 1873 as "Lord Auckland." She referred to his brother as "old Lord Auckland."
