Randolph Rogers was referenced in an article that Lazette Miller Worden included in her letter to Augustus Henry Seward on June 2, 1873. The article is about the memorial for William Henry Seward which occurred in Auburn. The article states, "The monument will take the form of a sitting statue in bronze and will be executed by Mr. Randolph Rogers now residing in Rome and widely known as one of the most eminent of American sculptors."
