Biography

Born in West Stockbridge, Massachusetts in 1806, Rev. Charles B. Boynton served as the Chaplain of the United States House of Representatives from December 5, 1864 - March 3, 1869. In c, 1867-1868 he wrote The history of the Navy during the rebellion, which recounted the movements of the United States Navy during the Civil War.
