Biography
Nicholas Cruger was a member of the Cruger family, who owned land near Frederick Seward in Montrose, NY. He graduated from West Point in 1820 and served in the army for several years. He later served in the New York State House of Representatives, before dying in 1868. After his death, it appears that the Cruger family sold pieces of his land.
