Biography
Mary Jane Raymond Buell was the wife of Rev. Rufus Freeman Buell. They were married in 1840 by her father, Rev. Lewis Raymond. The Buells traveled across the United States and abroad as missionaries, returning to the United States in 1885. They then lived in Providence, R.I. for eight years before moving to Washington D.C. in 1863. Rufus died in 1866, but Mary continued to live in the city until at least 1871. She later moved to Delaware, where she was living in 1892. It is not known when she died.
