Harriet Baker is referenced in an 1866 letter from Frances (Fanny) Adeline Seward to Janet Watson Seward. In this letter, Fanny mentions that she is anxious for the new bonnet that "Mrs. J. T. Baker" was making for her. According to an 1855 state census and the New York Department of Health, Harriet Baker was married to J.T. Baker and was a milliner.
