Emily Forbes Chase Warren was the eldest daughter of successful Baltimore merchant Algernon Sydney Chase and Mary Augusta Tilden Chase. Miss Chase met General Gouverneur Warren in February 1862 and married him on July 17th, 1863. The couple had two children, Algernon Sydney Warren and Emily Braem Warren. She is buried beside her husband in Newport, Rhode Island.
