Mary Isabel Ogston Aulick Robeson was the daughter of John and Harriot Ogston of Baltimore, MD. On June 9, 1858, she married U.S.N. Commodore Richmond Aulick with whom she had one child, a son named Richmond Ogston Aulick. After her first husband's death in 1868, she married George Maxwell Robeson, Secretary of the Navy under U.S. President Ulysses S. Grant with whom she had one daughter, Ethel Maxwell Robeson Sterling. Frances "Fanny" Seward references her in her 1862-1863 diary in reference with her first husband, Richmond Aulick.
