Biography

Sarah Brigham (nee Eaton) was the great-aunt of Olive Risley Seward, the sister-in-law of Olive's grandmother Abigail Brigham Risley. Sarah and her sister-in-law Fanny Brigham were widows at the time Olive was writing William Henry Seward, and one of them must have been the "Mrs. Brigham" that Olive refers to in her letter in November 1868.
