Biography

Topsy is a character from the novel Uncle Tom's Cabin by Harriet Beecher Stowe. She is an enslaved child meant to demonstrate what happens to people when they are treated as items rather than human, and is shown as having suffered physical and mental abuse at the hands of her ensalvers.
