Mentioned in a letter from Samuel George Andrews and Frances Miller Seward in 1861 concerning a fundraiser for Catherine Elizabeth Huson. In addition to being a reverend for over 50 years, Delano also aided in the success of the Prohibition movement, as well as aiding and supporting Frederick Douglass's work in abolition.
