Biography

Goulburn was an author and educator in the United Kingdom. He became Dean of Norwich and a well recognized author in his later years, allowing him to have influence in the church. His influence was primarily conservative, following orthodox beliefs and antagonizing ideas of rationalism and higher criticism during his time. He is first mentioned in Frances Adeline Seward's 1866 diary, in which she mentions reading his book "Thoughts on Personal Religion."
