Louise Claghorn was a cicil war nurse who would later work for the Red Cross Society, and later become the treasurer for the Northern Home for Friendless Children. She is mentioned in Frances "Fanny" Adeline Seward's 1866 diary concerning a planned dinner between the two of them.
