Marlborough Churchill graduated from West Point Academy in 1836. From 1836-1841, he served as an assistant engineer on the Croton Aquaduct Project. He established the Churchill Academy in Ossining, New York for boys aspiring to attend military academies. Frances "Fanny" Seward references the sons of General Webb attending the school of Mr. Churchill in Ossining, New York in her 1866 diary.
