Biography
Polly Maria (Shelton) Judson was born in Connecticut, the daughter of Lewis and Charity Shelton of Huntington, Connecticut. In 1829, she married Donald Judson and the couple had three children, David Lewis Judson, Jennet Judson, and Mary Antoinette Judson Brainard. After the death of her husband in 1847, Polly appears to have lived with her daughter Mary and her husband, Rev. Brainard. According to the US Federal Census, Polly Judson was living with the Brainards in Auburn, New York. Frances "Fanny" Seward references her visiting the Seward home in Auburn in her 1866 diary.
