Eliza M. "Lille" (Stover) Maloney was born in Tennessee, the daughter of Daniel Stover and Mary Johnson Stover Brown. She was the granddaughter of President Andrew Johnson. In 1875, she married Thomas Maloney. She is referenced in Frances "Fanny" Seward's 1866 diary in the company of her siblings and cousins at the White House.
