Andrew Johnson Stover was born in Tennessee, the son of Daniel Stover and Mary (Johnson) Stover Brown. He was the grandson of President Andrew Johnson. He is referenced in Frances "Fanny" Seward's 1866 diary in the company of his siblings and cousins at the White House.
