Biography

Williams CJ Hall was a Major Captain in the American Civil War's 23rd regiment of the United States Colored Infantry. He married Maria Miller Hall (née Woodhull) and had two children: William Woodhull Hall and Alfred Elliot Hall. He is mentioned in a letter from Emily Howland to Frances Miller Seward in 1864.
