N.Y. 29 August, 1828
Dear Brother
On my return from the Canal
I found yours of the 16th inst. & hasten
to inform you, since you describe to me the
shape of & size of the map, I am quite
certain, that I have never seen it.
The people in Florida & Goshen are
well – are quite delighted with the handsome
compliment paid you at Utica & the
reputable manner in which you sustained
the appointment conferred upon you.
I have not seen Pierre
Birth: 1762-08-29 Death: 1848-07-13Certainty: Possible
since I came
home, but will soon. I am desirous to
learn more of the particulars of the
meeting.
I have inscription & funds
for the Berdan
Birth: 1803 Death: 1827-07-20
monument & shall be
able I think to forward one shortly –
– the means are quite ample.

Please tell me what course Granger

&
Crary
Birth: 1785-03-18 Death: 1837-11-01
mean to pursue – I fear greatly
that we shall lose our Anti Masonic
votes – strength.
Dr C.
Birth: 1798-11-26 Death: 1865-01-05
wrote Marcia
Birth: 1794-07-23 Death: 1839-10-25
that Cornelia
Birth: 1805 Death: 1839-01-04

gave him a fine boy
Birth: 1827 Death: 1829
on the 12th inst
and is pretty well.
I am exceedingly anxious to see
you on some points of law – will
you be in the city soon – do not forget
to let me know, so that in the event of
your not being down in time I may
apply to my little friend Wheeler
Birth: 1783 Death: 1852-09-11
– which
I would rather not do just now as I
have made a sort of square off with him
for the present, & dread the expense of new
applications to him.
What shall I say to the Cap
dealer
Unknown
– he bored me to death before I
left town? Yours Sincerely,
B.J. Seward
