My dear Jennings,
I have just received your letter transmitting a copy of one from
Mr. Tracy
Birth: 1793-06-17 Death: 1859-09-12
, accept my thanks for it and express my obligation to Mr. Tuck
Birth: 1805-10-05 Death: 1874-04-25

The incipient treason it discloses is now consumated and our security
is of course increasing. Since writing yesterday I have been more unwell.
But I trust I shall be quite well next week –
Yours affectionately
William H. Seward
