Auburn May 23, 1850
My dear Father,
I distinctly remember
the papers referred to in the
accompanying letters. But I do
not recollect ever to have seen them
here, nor can I now find them;
either at home, or at the office.
I fear, if they were brought from
Florida, here, that they have since
been destroyed.
Affectionately, your son
Frederick W. Seward
