My Dear Uncle,
My friend Mr Samuel G. Kerfoot
Birth: 1823-12-18 Death: 1896-12-28Certainty: Probable
of Chicago
intends visiting the Sault Ste Marie, for the purpose of transacting
some business at the land office in that place, and desires to
obtain a letter of introduction to the Registrar & Receiver there,
from the General Land Office at Washington.
Will you if circumstances permit obtain from
Mr Butterfield
Birth: 1831-10-31 Death: 1901-07-17
a letter introducing Mr Kerfoot and forward
the same to me here.
I regret thus to trouble you and can only offer
as an apology my sincere desire to oblige Mr Kerfoot.
