Ridgebury, Nov 27. 1850.
My dear Uncle,
Some 14 months ago I put into your
hands certain papers having reference to my private
business, with the understanding that they were to be
forwarded to Mr Patterson
As late as about the adjournment of Congress Mr
Patterson informed me that they had never reached
him. If they are still in your possession I
request that you will forward them to me at your
earliest convenience.
Very Respectfully,
Your Nephew,
Augustus Seward
The Honorable
William H. Seward.
