My dear Uncle:
In a matter of some doubt &
perplexity I turn to you for advice. I have never
asked advice in vain and I am therefore em-
boldened to ask again.

Mr Alonzo Beardsley

has shown me his house which he will sell if
he can make an arrangement to purchase
the house of Mr Dennis. The Beardsley house
is the East one of the two cottages built by

Street. This is the only house that comes within
my means as a purchaser. It is in good
repair, well finished on the inside & conveniently
arranged. The price is $3.500 – payments as I wish
Mr Beardsley desires an answer next week.
