Chicago June 13th 1860
My dear Uncle
I have now been established in
this city about three months and have made but
little progress in my profession and if you can
control it and if it is consistent for you to aid me
I should like to obtain a share of the business which
centres here from the East.
Your Affectionate Nephew
WH Seward
