My dearest Miss Hance,
I have written
a long letter to Macedon beg-
ging you, as I do in this to
come and visit us in your vaca-
tion. I do hope you will do so-
and that you will come imme-
diately, for I fear your vacation
is fleeting. I have expected you
or a letter for some time. I have
written such a long letter of the
same date with this, to you
at Macedon that I will
make this short, but I thought
possibly you were in Palmyra
Now won't you come? If you
knew how I wanted you to,
how I look forward to your

visit all the year round,
Goodbye. Come directly—
and stay as long as possible –
with
Your very affectionate
Fanny Seward
P.S. I need not tell you that
all join in my invitation
