My dear J.
I arrived here last evening – and am to be joined on Wed-
nesday by my comrades. I can profitably employ my time here
in further completion of my paper.

Pray look over the books & get notice or personally visit any persons
whose lands are deeded to me and dispense of them in the same way.
Give this early attention as efforts are waking in a certain quarter
to find grounds for complaint.
I go to Troy tomorrow
