Westfield July 19 1837.
My dear Grandpa,
We have some rabbits in the pig
pen. I have been to Warren, and I saw some silkworms
at Jamestown. I have got a cocoon. The number of
silkworms was 41. They live on Mulber ^r^ y leaves. They are
of a brownish color We do not expect to come home
this week. Jamestown is a pleasant village situa-
ted on the Chautauqua lake. I went on the steam-
boat to Jamestown and back again. It is a very
pleasant lake I think. Yesterday Augustus
Birth: 1826-10-01 Death: 1876-09-11
made a
kite and it flew pretty well. I should
like to know how my corn comes on.
Augustus got his letter yesterday. We expect to
come week after next. your affectionate Grandson.
Frederick.
