My dear Son,
It seems more
than two weeks since
I went away and
left you here – I
was sorry not to

–I presume you found

any thing to
your Father
Birth: 1801-05-16 Death: 1872-10-10
about going to Washington –
I do not know
when he will be
in Albany again
but some time before
he goes to Washington.
Were it not for
the requisitions
made upon him before
election I think
he would go next
week, but I judge
now he has much
more than he can
well do planned
for him by others –
We had a pleasant
excursion to Niagara –
& are now enjoying
a delightful Indian
Summer which I
hope may be p l prolonged
some days –
Anna
