Biography

Edward Loomis Davenport was a mid-19th century American actor, popular for his skill. He debuted in 1836 with the stage name Mr. E. Dee, playing a variety of roles for the next 10 years. He lived in England for six years, from 1847 to 1854, acting in many Shakespeare and other famous plays. He continued to act in a wide range of roles for the next 20 years until he became ill, ending his career.
