Mentioned in SSS letters of 1831. Assemblyman of Antimasonic council. Dunning married Mehitable Hetty Kelsey (1789-1814) on December 17, 1811 in Goshen, Orange, New York. Dunning then married Mary Kelsey on October 15, 1815. They had one child, William Kelsey Dunning. Dunning's third wife was Sarah Kelsey (1802-1871), whom he married on May 10, 1824, and with whom he had 8 children.
