It is believed his parents were John (c1803) & Anna (Aug 12, 1803)Ike, from PA. If true then Charles was a brother to: Jacob, c1824 PA; Deborah c1838 NY; Sarah c1840 NY & John Ike, Jr., Mar 1843. Most of the censuses state he was born in New Jersey. Charles was a carpenter by trade and a Civil War Veteran. He enlisted in Ovid, NY in Mar. 1864 and separated in Jun 1865 in Ovid, NY.
