Found in 18381008BJS_WHS1 "Peter Loucks - a Loco F. magistrate & Commissioner from Gerry asserted last week that he has been at the office & demanded his mortgage which was denyed him - that he offered to bet $500 with me that I could not produce it, which I dare not accept." According to Find a Grave, he was "son of Joseph Loucks, Sr and Margaret Mabie; husband of Roby Remington; veteran, War of 1812."
