Biography

Levi Hubbell was the youngest son of Abijah Hubbell. Levi practiced law in partnership with his brother Walter in Canandaigua, NY. He held the office of adjutant general of New York from January 1833 until November 1836. He then moved to Ithaca, NY where he served as representative of that county on the state legislature. In 1844, he moved to Milwaukee, WI where he resided until his death. While in Wisconsin he worked as the first judge of the second circuit beginning in 1848.
