Biography
Dr. William H. Olin was a Methodist Clergyman and important figure in the Wyoming Conference, an organization of congregations in northeast Pennsylvania and the southern tier of New York. Olin was born in Laurens, Otsego County, NY, and was educated as a lawyer. He practiced for six years before converting to Methodism in 1849 in Oneonta, and subsequently changed career paths to become a church leader. He received an MA from Wesleyan University in 1866 and was given a Doctor of Divinity degree by Syracuse University in 1878.
