Biography

Born in Cooperstown and married to Troy, NY resident George Bouton Warren, a Whig, bank president, railroad president, and dry goods merchant, on September 15, 1823. Had four children: John Esais Warren, born in 1827; George Bowers Warren, born 9 June 1828 in Troy, NY; Charles Steward Warren, born in 1832; and Mary Bowers Warren, born in 1836. Mentioned in 18340108FMS_LMW, in which Frances writes to Lazette from Albany: "Mary Warren  and George called that afternoon upon me. Mary is enceinte (you perceive how useful my french becomes) she looked thin and pale I could hardly realize that it was the once beautiful Mary Bowers – her mind is much the same it was when we knew her – her manner very good and one might talk a qarter of an hour with her on indifferent subjects without discovering how vain how frivolous and how heart-less she is."
