From Find-A-Grave: "Born Louisa Stewart Shepherd, she was the widow of Joel Dickinson. In December, 1830 she became the second wife of Timothy Childs, Jr. when they married in Norfolk, Virginia."
In 18610804FMS_WHS Frances says that Louisa Childs was a "Southern woman" whose sympathies stayed with the South during the War. She also indicates that Mrs Child is good friends with Catherine Huson. FMS refers to her as "old and unreasonably exacting."
