Biography: 
Robert de Ferrers was the son of Henricus and Berta Ferrers. He married Hawise, with whom he had five children: Robert, Willian, Walcheline, Isoida, and Maud. Upon Robert de Ferrers, 1st Earl of Derby's death, his son, Robert, succeeded him as the 2nd Earl of Derby.
