Albert Baham was one of three brothers convicted of the murder of peddler Nathan Adler. He was convicted and sentenced to death by hanging. His execution took place January 24, 1851. After his death, his brother John, also sentenced to death, made a full confession to being an accomplice, and his sentence was commuted to life in prison. He was eventually pardoned in 1859, then his full rights of citizenship were restored. The third brother, Alfred, pled guilty to manslaughter after Albert's execution, and was sentenced to 5 years and 3 months in prison.
