Biography

Charles Henry Jones was born the son of Jehu Glancy Jones and Anna Jones. He married Kate Evelyn Sank in 1872, and they had three children: Evelyn Glancy, C. Rodman, and Anna Rodman. Charles Henry Jones was a lawyer who served with his father as an attache of the American Legation to Austria in 1859. He became a special deputy collector of customs of Philadelphia in 1885. He wrote a number of books, including: A Pedestrian Tour through Switzerland, Recollections of Venice, Genealogy of the Rodman Family, Life and Public Services of J. Glancy Jones, and more.
