Biography
Sidney Morse was an inventor, geographer and journalist. He was the brother of telegraphy pioneer Samuel Morse. Mentioned in a letter to Frances Seward from Mary Patrick, August 30, 1855. "Poor Kossuth is still traduced and abused to such a degree, that it seems perfectly apparent, that there are hired slanderers in our midst. Nothing but gold could tempt Bennet, and Morse of the Observer, and Hallock of the Journal of Commerce to expend so much time and ink in abusing him."
