Biography
Walter Seymour Hubbell was born in 1823 the son of Walter and Eliza (Phelps) Hubbell. He resided within Canandaigua, New York, and was an attorney by profession. On November 6, 1847, Hubbell married Mary Chapin with whom he had five children, including George Cameron Hubbell, whose tragic death is recounted in a letter written by Frances Chesebro to her cousin Augustus Henry Seward, dated May 1, 1872.
