Biography

James Barrett was a leader of the minutemen militia during the Battle of Concord. He worked along side John Buttrick who was known to have ordered the first shot in the American Revolution. Barrett was mentioned in a letter from William Roland G. Mellen to Frances Miller Seward dated May 20th 1861.
