A. Benjamin Medina was the temporary charge d'affairs for the Peruvian legation in Washington, D.C. between May 6 and November 19, 1867. He asked Frederick William Seward for an introduction which Frederick gladly provides on June 21, 1867. Medina remained in Washington, D.C. at least until 1869.
