Owasco Canal Co in overseeing what-
ever work may be done this season
so that ^you^ need ^not^ send on any agent;
we have wrote to Holmes Hutihun
Hutchinson
here in 8 or 10 days to examine
the River from the Paine Dam
to the Lake & also the sand flat
into the Lake to deep water so
as to le ^get^ his estimate of the expense
& the res has also to get his opi-
nion of the manner how to
proceed to make a good navi-
gation to the Deep water in
the Lake —
The interest for one year $2500-
will be due on the 17th June on the
Mortgage to Mr McIntire
have ^no^ money to pay him. I wish
you would call & see him, and
if he is unwilling to wait we
must rase raise the money so
as not to disappoint him –
The family are all well
