My dear George,
My mother
and we have taken up another passage. The roads are so bad that with
so large a force we think it is inexpedient to go through Goshen–
We leave a wagon at your house which please accept as a present
from our little blind Willie
Hathaways for Nicholas
have advanced some money for me. Put the whole into a draft at
night on me at Albany– Bid my dear cousins an affectionate
adieu for us with many thanks for all their kindness. Nicholas
and Harriet left a workbag
a indispensable at Hathaways con-
taining a pocketbook with a note
of some little value– Will you get it & send it to us
and believe me most affectionately
