My dear Mrs Seward,
You recollect a request I made
some time since, that you would allow me to take
your Madonnna breastpin, a short time– If you
are perfectly willing, to send the Geneva one also, I
shall esteem it a great favor– I have a couple of
young friends
them– Do not fear any injury to them– please to
send word, if I shall return them to-night, or tomorrow
I trust your health is restored, ere
this– When you are quite well, I will finish my
commenced visit, with you – Another winter, it
seems, you will be among the distant & the absent–
Such is my destiny – just as I have become attached
my pleasure take wings – cordially yours,
L E Watrous
